Instructions on microwave oven grounding
The unit should be securely grounded. In
case of any short circuit grounding reduces
the risk of electric shock, because the current
will pass via the ground wire.
A power cord with a grounding wire and a
plug with a grounding contact are used in
the unit.
The plug should be connected to the socket
with a grounding contact.
For additional protection it is reasonable to
install a residual current device (RCD) with
nominal operation current not exceeding
30 mA. To install RCD contact a specialist.
Warning:
Using of plug with a grounding contact con-
nected to the socket without grounding can
lead to the risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician, if oven
grounding instructions are not completely
clear to you or if you are not sure that the unit
is securely grounded.
To prevent tangling of power cord the unit is
equipped with a short power cord.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use
only a 3-wire extension cord with a grounding
contact on the plug and the socket.
Wire section marking of the MWO cord and of
the extension cord should match.
The power cable of the extension cord should
not hang over the edges of the table, where
children can pull it and it should be placed
in such way that excludes possibility of step-
ping on it.
