INSTALIAIION INSTRUCTIONS
Optimum listcning qrralitv is obtained when the lbllorting recommendations havc
been lbllowed step bv step.
1 \bur fADIS preamplilier is carefull,v packaged in molded foam, tith its rrtbes
installed.
2 At thc unpacking, \,erifJ that thev are still right in Position.
3 - For preamplifrers llith a separate polver supphi connect flrmlv the muhi-pins
connector to ils socket. 1_he power suppll' must be placed on the left of the
module to avoid all interfèrences. If possible lnove a$ây thc porver supply as
far as you can fiorn thc module.
4 - Plàce lourJADIS preamplifier on a IlirL, solid surlàce. Bccause vourJADIS is a
prearnplificr with tubes. pror'ide an open space to enatrle a corlect eva( Lration
of the heat in tatural conr,ection cooling. Do Dot fan cool vourJADIS preanl
plifier as air currcnts caû create microcracks in the tube.
WARNING
I - Check that the mains voltaec corresponds to the oire of th(:JADIS preamplil-rer
2 - Avoid placing the unit directlv on carpcLs or on flammable material. Avoid pla
cing components on top of the prcamplifier to insure adequate vettilation.
3 -,{.lwavs turn on vour prealnplifier before turDing on the amplifier Rc|erse the
procedure on turning oll \'our amplif-ler.
4 - Alwavs usc the ON/OFF switch. Never unplug the mains cable to turn olTvoul
preamplif-rer
5 - l)o not move vour prcalnpliher then thc tubcs are hot.
6 - Never remo\c anv grid when thc unit is connccted to the mains voJtagc or to
thc amplifier, even i[your whole sYslem is turned
"OFF".
7 - The conncction ofvou|JADIS preamplilier to an] tvpe of amplifier is possible,
excepl il thc input impedancc ofvour anplifier is abnorlnallv lorv (infcrior tU
l kohms).
8 - Altats use ren short connections \!_ith cven high qualin interconnect cabJes
and speaker rires to irnprovc the sorrnd qualitv. Tighten all connections.
