Introduction Jadis , we are very proud to release a new product after a lengthy period of experimentation and trial. Jadis preamplifier is therefore the result of long months of technical research and countless hours of listening. Enjoy your preamplifier.
Unpacking and checking The JPL preamplifier has been packed in a box that has been specially designed for it. Do not throw away this box as it will be needed for re-packing the unit when it has to be returned to the factory for maintenance or upgrading.
Description Front view On the front panel, you will find: - The power switch ON/OFF. - The power led, Green for normal working. Red when the muting switch is set to ON or during the temporizing when starting (about few minutes). - The source selector which allows to select the wanted input between: CD, TUNER, AUX.1, AUX.2, AUX.3.
3 - Because your Jadis is a tube preamplifier, provide an open space to allow a correct evacuation of heat. Do not try to cool your Jadis preamplifier with a fan or expose it to air currents: sudden cooling can create microcraks on the tubes.
How to turn ON your preamplifier In order to get the best performance of your Jadis preamplifier, it is necessary to follow carefully the instructions below: 1- Check that the power switch is OFF. 2- Connect the sources cables (CD, tuner,...) to the appropriate inputs, and, your amplifier to your preamplifier outputs according to your listening choice...
2 - Unplug all the cables. 3 - Do not forget the mains cord and the power supply/module cable. 4 - Contact your Jadis dealer for diagnostic and repair. To clean your preamplifier, use a soft cloth with a non abrasive cleaning product.
Tubes position Warning: Do not open your preamplifier when the unit is working or when the mains power cord connects the preamplifier to the electrical network. Switch off the unit and disconnect all the cables before opening. Open your preamplifier only if you have to change the tubes and, after having contacted your dealer or distributor.
