To turn the power ON/OFF

power cycle the device simply remove and re-install one of the batteries – and then press the
Power Button once again to turn the power ON.

Battery and charger operation
• Tailio must have 4 NiMH AA-size rechargeable batteries installed to operate, even if the power
adapter is plugged in.
• Do NOT use other types of batteries (alkaline, lithium ion, or others).
• If convenient, the power adapter can be left plugged in.
• The on-board charger will charge batteries only when they drop below 20%. The Tailio app will
notify to plug in the power adapter to charge the batteries.
• Even if the power adapter is plugged in, the device runs off the batteries to ensure best data
quality, and longest battery life.
• If the batteries are too low to operate, the Orange light will flash once and remain solid after
power up. Please plug in the power adapter and let it charge for at least one hour (3 hours for full
charge).
Tailio device and your litter box
• For best accuracy, Tailio device needs to be approximately leveled after it's placed on the floor
at the target location. Turn foot counter-clockwise to increase its height.
• Ensure that the Tailio device stands firmly on the floor on all 4 feet (and not on 3 feet with one
foot up in the air): press gently with your fingers on each of the device's corners at the top
surface, one at a time. Adjust the height of the feet accordingly.
