Using the Bread Maker for the first time without dough

When using the bread maker for the very first time we recommend
operating it without content for short time. The device may emit a little
smoke during operation. This is normal and will disappear in a while.
Ensure sufficient ventilation.
1. First take out the baking pan from the brad
maker and make sure there is no packaging
material under the baking pan or the heating
element. For removing the baking pan, grasp the
handle and turn it counter clockwise to disen-
gage.
2. Insert the baking pan a little bit to the left into the
bread maker and turn the baking pan clockwise in order to lock it
properly in place.
3. Insert the plug into the wall socket. You will hear a short peep and the
display will turn on. The device is now ready for use.
The display shows the factory settings:

The arrow under 750 g is for the weight.
The arrow under the word Mittel is for the crust browning.
The programme is selected but not activated. The colon is not flashing
4. Select with the button Menü the programme no. 14 Backen.
5. Press the button
All other button are inactivated, except of the button
backwards in order to show the remaining time.
6. Leave the bread maker to operate for approx. 10 minutes and stop
operation by pressing the
mation sound and the colon will no flash.
7. Allow the baking pan to cool down first prior to cleaning it thoroughly
with water and mild detergent. By doing this the baking pan will be free
from residues and can be used at any time.
