1. ABOUT THE OPERATOR/OWNER MANUAL
1.1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION &
INTENDED USE
The View Charge Points are certified by VDE and
compliant with Mess & Eichrecht (M&E) regulation,
also known as MessEV and MessEG. This
means that the products have a PTB certificate
("Baumusterprüfbescheinigung"). This manual applies to
the 3 charge point models that have been certified:
Home Advanced View
Serial Number Range: 0750.0000 to 0759.9999
Business Lite View
Serial Number Range: 0850.0000
Business Pro View
Serial Number Range: 0950.0000
The goal of the manual is to inform the owner and/or
operator of the charge points on its obligations in how to
operate the charge points.
1.2 M&E CERTIFIED CHARGE POINT
When a charge point is M&E-compliant, a Secured Mess
& Eichrecht Device (SMED) is build upon the existing
(MID compliant) energy meter inside the charge
point. All legally relevant data from each transaction is
stored inside this SMED device. It's possible to read and
access current (live) and historical (stored) session data
on the LCD display screen.
