5. ADDITIONAL FEATURES

5.1. DATASNAKE

With the Datasnake interface cable you can transfer the Suunto S6 logs to your PC
and store them there. The logs can be either skiing logs stored in the Skiing mode
memory, weather logs stored in the weather memory or SkiChrono or Chrono logs
stored in the SkiChrono memory. When the data has been transferred, you can easily
organize, view and add related information in it with the Suunto Ski Manager soft-
ware.
The Datasnake and the Suunto Ski Manager software are delivered in the same
package with your Suunto S6. The installation instructions for the software can be
found on the cover of the Suunto Ski Manager CD-ROM.

5.1.1. Transferring Data

To transfer data:
1. Make sure your computer has a free serial port.
2. Attach the cable to the computer serial port and plug
the other end in your Suunto S6.
3. Open the Suunto Ski Manager.
4. Click the Wristop icon and then click Connect. The
Suunto S6 logbooks are displayed in the log list.
5. Choose the logs you wish to save and click Download.
6. Add the information required in the Download win-
dow and click Download. The logs are now saved on
the hard disk of your PC.
