    NA 12.46 A         Follow the installation instructions and click on "Finish" after selecting "Yes, I want to restart my computer now".    Note: make sure you close all your open documents before clicking on "Finish".        After restarting your computer, the OPC server will be operational.    Connect the dongle to activate the licence.    3.   • Page 4 NA 12.46 A             Connect an RJ45 cable to one of the 2 Ethernet ports on the CIATControl.     Note: each CIATControl has a default DHCP setting.    Once an address has been assigned to the CIATControl, the active board is displayed.    Select "Static" and enter the information supplied by the network administrator (or that assigned by the DHCP server):  ‐ IP address  ‐ Subnet mask  ‐ Gateway    Click on "Send" to confirm the configuration.    Note: if several CIATControls are present on the network, please modify the computer name (default name:  CIATCONTROL) to a unique name to avoid conflicts. The CIATControl will need to be restarted after the name has been  modified.    Carry out the same operation on each CIATControl, taking care to assign different fixed IP addresses for each  CIATControl.  ©2012 CIAT  NA 12.46 A installation instructions   V05.2012 ...

  • Page 7 ‐ Disconnection time: waiting time prior to disconnection of the link between the OPC server and the station for  which no items are read by the OPC server  ‐ Dataserver test frequency: cyclical test to check for the presence of the station (use of the ping command)  ‐ TCP timeout: configuration of the timeout period on the TCP control when checking for the presence of the  station on the network  ‐ Native type is string: applies to OPC items for which the type is defined as string if the box is checked.  Otherwise the type is undefined  ‐ Address separator: character used to separate the different fields of the OPC address (device field, network  field, variable field, etc.)    4. USE    The OPC server launches automatically when an OPC client attempts to communicate with the CIAT.CIATControl OPC  Server.DA server.    Any OPC client can now select the items he wishes to monitor (see sections 7 to 10 for the items available for each type  of equipment).    The OPC server has the following buttons:     ‐  Stations…: used to check the stations interrogated by the OPC client; it is possible to refresh the connections  or attempt to reconnect if there is a loss of communication with one of the stations.  ©2012 CIAT  NA 12.46 A installation instructions   V05.2012 ...
  • Page 8 NA 12.46 A             ‐ Exit: used to close the OPC server.  If equipment is added to the server, it is recommended to shut down the  server before configuring, otherwise any modifications will only be taken into account once the OPC server is  restarted.    ‐ Group: used to indicate the items read by the OPC client. The full address is indicated, as well as the refresh  time and value.    ‐ Bad addresses: used to indicate incorrect addresses read/written by the OPC client. If these addresses do not  exist, they will be directly placed in this menu.    ‐ Group details: gives a general overview of the OPC server as well as the value of the parameters set in the OPC  server configurator.    ‐ Filter: used to apply a filter to the items listed in the table. Simply enter the characters present in the address  of each item. The filter refreshes automatically.  ©2012 CIAT  NA 12.46 A installation instructions   V05.2012 ...
  • Page 9 NA 12.46 A             Important notes for the installation procedure via OPC:     ‐ The values written in the equipment parameters are not stored in the database. When replacing the  modules (inoperative module), the parameter values should be changed again. Only the values set via the  CIATControl screen are stored in the database.  ‐ Take care when writing the parameter values for V3000 type modules. When a parameter is modified, the  V3000 restarts automatically. It then loses the context in which it was switched to "Auto" mode. It will not  switch back to the mode requested by the time schedule when the mode next switches. To prevent this, the  OPC client must send the command to the V3000 in order to make it switch back to the mode it was in  before the restart.  ‐ The items available for each piece of equipment are displayed in French only.    5. UNINSTALLING    To uninstall the software, the OPC server must be shut down, which requires all the OPC clients to be closed.     Double click on the "CIAT" icon in the bottom right of the taskbar.    The following window opens. Click on "Exit" and confirm that the application has closed.  ©2012 CIAT  NA 12.46 A installation instructions   V05.2012 ...

  • Page 11 The Dongle is not detected:  ‐ Check that the "Sentinel Protection Installer" utility program was properly installed during installation of the  OPC server (see Configuration panel). If the problem persists, please uninstall and reinstall the OPC server.    The OPC client does not detect the OPC server:   ‐ Check that the OPCEnum service is activated  ‐ Check that the firewall or antivirus software is not blocking access to the OPC server    No stations are detected by the OPC server configurator or the OPC server itself:   ‐ Check that the different stations don't have the same IP address    A conflict was detected on the network due to a similarity in the names of the panels on the network:   ‐ Please configure the panel names on each station to ensure they are unique  ‐ This error message does not block the operation of the OPC server  ‐ This field is only available from CIATControl version 2.2.0. For older versions, please contact reference CIAT  agency    The write does not function on datapoints:   ‐ When writing the values to "multi‐fields" type items, all the fields must be written simultaneously.    Modification of the panels' IP addresses and adding/deleting of panels is not acknowledged in the OPC server:   ‐ Acknowledgement is effective once the OPC server is restarted.  ©2012 CIAT  NA 12.46 A installation instructions [11]   V05.2012 ...
  • Page 12 NA 12.46 A           Certain items on the OPC server have switched to "BAD":   ‐ Check the connection with the remote station using pings in the OPC server or in the OPC server configurator.    What happens in the event of a mains outage or a panel restart?  ‐ The OPC server attempts to reconnect periodically to the different stations. Communication is thus restored  automatically.    The project for a station must be modified (adding/deleting equipment):   ‐ Close the OPC server before making any modifications, or delete the station from the OPC server configurator.  ‐ If equipment has been added/deleted, the OPC client must add/delete the points corresponding to this  equipment.      ©2012 CIAT  NA 12.46 A installation instructions [12]   V05.2012 ...

POINTS AVAILABLE ON THE V3000    Note:     1. Important: the points marked "Manufacturer only" must not be modified, as this could cause the system to  malfunction or even damage the machine.  CIAT accepts no responsibility for damage arising from improper use of  the OPC server.  2. Important: modifying a parameter reinitialises the V3000 with the constraints that this entails (see note p9). We  therefore recommend the use of variables (volatile points) to control these modules via the OPC.    The communication tables can be changed according to the CIATControl versions. You will find the details of the  communication points for the different equipment in the technical documentation for each controller.    LIST OF PARAMETERS (non-volatile points) Read/Write/ Number Name Description Setting range/Value Do not change The controller must be informed whether it is a master or a slave, or whether it is stand-alone.
