3. If your system will be part of a cluster or network, ask your network
coordinator or system administrator for your system:
DECnet node name
DECnet node address
Cluster group number
Cluster password

A.2 Startup Procedure
If you have a dual-host system, you can start with either host.
1. Enter the console mode:
a. Set the system Power switch to off (0).
h. Set the Break EnablelDisable switch to enable (up, position 1).
c.
Set the system Power switch to on (1).
Wait for the system to complete its self-tests and display the console
prompt (»».
2. Make sure the system disk is on line and is not write-protected:
The RunlReady button should be in (lit).
The Write-Protect button should be out (not lit).
3. If your system will be configured as a cluster with a nonzero allocation
class, see your system Operation manual for information on how to
program parameters for ISEs.
Also, if you are using a nonzero allocation class and have ISEs on both
busses (0 and 1), you must set ISE unit numbers for one of the busses.
4. Define the system disk as the default boot device:
If the ISE with the FIS is in the system:
