f. Record the dc voltage at A2TP2.

g. Set 652A FREQUENCY dial to 1 0. Readjust SI C2
and S I C 7 alternately (See Table 5-6) until frequency

and tolerances given in Table 5-7 for the XIK RANGE.

a. Connect equipment as shown in Figure 5�8.
b, Check frequency tracking of FREQUENCY dial at I ,
2 , 5 , 8, and 1 0 on the XIOO and XIOK ranges (See Table
5- 7) while monitoring voltage at A2TP2, At I and 1 0 on
the dial, A2TP2 voltage should be within ± 20 m V of
reference voltage noted in Paragraph 5-30, Step
entire range of the dial, A2TP2 voltage should not vary
more than 40 m V.
c. On each range, if frequency or A2TP2 voltage is not
correct at I on dial, change the value of RANGE switch
resistors (Table 5-6) for that range. (The two resistors
should be changed simultaneously for the best results,)
d. On XIOK range, if the frequency or A2TP2 voltage is
not correct at 1 0 on dial, change the value of the padding
capacitor, S I C I 3 , Table 5-6.

a. Connect equipment as shown in Figure 5-8.
b, Set 652A FREQUENCY RAl 'l GE to XIO. Check
frequency as indicated on counter (See Table 5-7) at I and
10 positions of FREQUENCY dial.
c. If either frequency or A2TP2 voltage is not within
tolerance, change values of S1 R 1 * and Sl R 1 4 * (Table 5-
simultaneously to bring frequency within tolerance and
maintain A2TP2 at required voltage (within + 0.00 V,
- 0,05 V of reference voltage noted in Paragraph 5-30, Step
f.
NOTE
It may be necessary to split dif f erence in
f requency between the two ends of the dial.
d. Check frequency at the 2 and 5 positions of the dial.
If
not within tolerance (Table 5- 7), repeat Paragraph 5-30,
Steps b and c.
5-33. X 1 M Range Frequency Calibration,
NOTE
The f ollowing adju stments are critical. For
each adjustment, remove covers and make the
adjustment; then replace covers bef ore makin g
frequency o r voltage tests. I f desired, Figure
5-10
gives a scaled drawing of top and bottom
alignment access covers with cut-outs that will
allow adjustments while
place. T he dimensions are given in inches.
