Step 3
Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance of the
suction line sensor (Figure 5). Compare to Table 1
values. If the sensor resistance is not equal to or
close to the table values, replace the sensor.

Testing the suction line pressure transducer
Introduction
The suction line pressure transducer
(Figure 6) senses suction line pres-
sure. The transducer connects to
the outdoor EEV control board on
plug J7. The voltage at the J7 plug
can be measured by placing one
meter lead on the +VP test point
Figure 6
and the other onto the T5 Test Point
Common on the outdoor unit con-
trol board.
How to test
Outdoor unit must be on for this test.
Step 1
Measure the refrigerant pressure of the suction line.

Step 2
Measure the DC voltage between the VP point and
the T5 point (Figure 8). Compare the voltage to the
values shown in Table 2. The voltage should be equal
to or close to these values. If the voltage measured is
not equal to the values listed in the table, replace the
sensor.
