Description
Card reader board assembly
Card reader board cable (included in Cable Kit)
Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Place the computer in "Battery Safe mode"
3.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
4.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
5.
Remove the following components:
a.
Service doors
b.
Keyboard
c.
Top cover
Remove the card reader board:
1.
Position the computer upright on a flat surface and open the display as far as possible.
2.
Disconnect the cable from the system board ZIF connector (1).
3.
Remove the 2 Torx T8 2.5×4.0 screws (2) that secure the board to the computer.
4.
Lift the board out of the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the card reader board.
