Chute Control Cable Routing

NOll:
For smoothest operation, cables should all be to the left of the chute
directional control rod.
NOTE:
The number of cables routed through the wire guides will depend on unit
model.

Locate cable guide on top of engine and ensure cable(s) are properly routed
through the cable gUide. See Figure 11.

Shear Pins
Holes are located in the plastic dash panel for convenient shear pin storage. See
Figure 12. Refer to page 17 in the Operation section for more Information regarding
shear pin replacement.

If the extra shear pins are not already assembled in the handle panel, they
can be found in the manual bag.

Chute Clean-Out Tool
A chute clean-out tool is fastened to the top of the auger housing with a mounting
clip. See Figure 13. The tool is designed to clear a chute assembly of ice and
snow. This item is fastened With a cable tie at the factory. Cut the cable tie before
operating the snow blower. '

AWARNING

Never use your hands to clear a clogged chute assembly. Shut OFF engine
and remain behind handles until all moving parts have stopped before
using the clean-outtool to dear the chute assembly.
