    VORWORT Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb Ihrer DHC-2 BEAVER von Staufenbiel. Optional ist zum Modell auch ein passender Schwimmersatz erhältlich, auf dessen Montage auch in dieser Bau- anleitung eingegangen wird. Die Bauausführung des Modells und die damit verbundene Detaillösungen unterliegen einer ge- wissen Geschmacksabhängigkeit.

    MONTAGE DES HÖHEN- UND SEITENLEITWERKS Ziehen Sie das Höhenrudergestänge ein Stück nach hinten heraus. Fädeln Sie das Gestänge in das Ruderhorn des Höhenleitwerkes wie abgebildet ein. Setzen Sie wie abgebildet das Seitenleitwerk auf das Höhenleitwerk, dabei das Anlenkgestänge des Seitenleitwerks in den Mitnehmer unterhalb des Höhenleitwerkes einfädeln. Schieben Sie an- schließend die Leitwerke in den Rumpf ein.

    MONTAGE DES SPORNRADES Setzen Sie das Spornrad unten auf den Rumpf auf und verschrauben Sie dieses mit den zwei 2,5x8 mm Schrauben. Kontrollieren Sie nun die Neutralstellung des Seitenruders. Fädeln Sie wie abgebildet die beiden Anlenkdrähte am Spornrad und in die Kupplungen ein. Richten Sie das Spornrad aus und ziehen Sie die Schrauben fest.

    MONTAGE DER TRAGFLÄCHENCLIPS Montieren Sie die Tragflächenclips mit den beiliegenden 3x10 mm Schrauben am Rumpf wie abgebildet. MONTAGE DER TRAGFLÄCHEN Nehmen Sie die linke Tragfläche und schieben Sie die beiden Tragflächenstäbe in die vorhan- denen Löcher im Rumpf ein. Fädeln Sie die Servokabel und das Landeklappengestänge in die vorhanden Löcher im Rumpf ein.
  • Page 8 Verbinden Sie die beiden Querruder-Servostecker mit dem beiliegendem V-Kabel. Fädeln Sie die Landeklappengestänge in die Servokupplung ein. Programmieren Sie einen Kanal in ihrem Sen- der für die Landeklappen, achten Sie dabei auf die Laufrichtung des Servos. Anschließen ziehen Sie die Schraube an der Servokupplung fest. Setzten Sie wie abgebildet die Servoabdeckung auf und drücken Sie diese mit leichten Druck in die Clips ein.
  • Page 9 MONTAGE DES SPINNERS UND DER LUFTSCHRAUBE Schieben Sie wie abgebildet die Spinner-Rückwand auf den Spannkonus auf. Anschließend die Luftschraube auf den Klemmkonus aufschieben. Danach die Unterlegscheibe aufsetzen und nach- folgend die Mutter auf den Klemmkonus mit einem Schraubenschlüssels festziehen. Zum Schluss die Spinnerkappe aufsetzen und diese mit zwei 2,5x8 mm Schrauben befestigen.

    MONTAGE DES SCHWIMMERS (SEPARAT ERHÄLTLICH) Um den optionalen Schwimmersatz zu montieren demontieren Sie das Fahrwerk und die Tragflä- chenstrebe. Demontieren Sie das Spornrad und die Anlenkdrähte des Spornrades wie abgebildet. Nehmen Sie sich die beiden Schwimmer und die beiden unteren Querstreben zur Hand. Schieben Sie die Querstreben in die Schwimmer ein und befestigen Sie diese mit dem beiliegenden 2,5x20 mm Schrauben.
  • Page 12 Montieren Sie die Streben an den Schwimmern wie abgebildet mit den beiliegenden 2,5x8 mm Schrauben. Die Schrauben bitte noch nicht entgültig festziehen um bei der Endmontage die Stre- ben noch ausrichen zu können. Setzten Sie nun den Rumpf vorsichtig auf die Streben auf. Verschrauben Sie die Streben am Rumpf wie abgebildet.
  • Page 13 Schieben Sie die Gummis über die Nylonschnur wie abgebildet. Stecken Sie die beiden Stifte wie abgebildet in die Servokupplungen ein. Richten Sie das Servohorn mittig aus und ziehen Sie die Schrauben der Servokupplungen fest. Anschließend hängen Sie die Gummis wie abgebildet ein.

  • Page 18 PREFACE Congratulations on the purchase of your DHC-2 BEAVER by Staufenbiel. A matching buoyancy chamber set is also available optionally for the model and its assembly is described in this design specification. The design of the model and the related detail solutions are subject to certain preferences. There- fore, the solutions in this design specification should be understood as suggestions.
  • Page 19 ASSEMBLY OF THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL TAIL Pull out the horizontal rudder linkage to the back a bit. Mount the linkage on the rudder horn of the horizontal tail as shown in the illustration. Set the vertical tail onto the horizontal tail as shown in the illustration and at the same time, mount the servo linkages of the vertical tail onto the engaging piece underneath the horizontal tail.
  • Page 20 ASSEMBLY OF THE TAIL WHEEL Set the tail wheel onto the bottom of the fuselage and screw connect it with two 2.5x8 screws. Now check the neutral position of the yaw rudder. Thread in the two servo wires on the tail wheel and into the couplings.
  • Page 21 ASSEMBLY OF THE WING CLIPS Mount the wing clips onto the fuselage as shown in the illustration, using the enclosed 3x10 mm screw. ASSEMBLY OF THE WINGS Take the left wing and push the two wing pins into the holes in the fuselage. Thread the servo wires and the landing flap linkage into the holes in the fuselage.
  • Page 22 Connect the two aileron servo plugs with the enclosed V-cable. Mount the landing flap linkage onto the servo coupling. Program a channel on your transmitter for the servo flaps. When doing so, pay attention to the rotational direction of the servo. Then tighten the screw on the servo coupling. As shown in the illustration, mount the servo coupling and press it into the clips with slight pressure.
  • Page 23 ASSEMBLY OF THE SPINNER AND PROPELLER Push the spinner back wall onto the spinner cone as shown in the illustration. Then push the air screw onto the chuck cone. Once done, put on the washer followed by the nut onto the chuck cone and tighten with a wrench.

  • Page 25 ASSEMBLY OF THE SWIMMER SET (AVAILABLE SEPARATELY) In order to mount the optional swimmer, disassemble the undercarriage and the wing brace. Disassemble the trail wheel and servo wires of the tail wheel as shown in the illustration. Take the two buoyancy chambers and the two lower cross struts. Push the cross struts into the buo- yancy chambers and fasten them with the enclosed 2.5x20 mm screws.
  • Page 26 Mount the struts on the buoyancy chambers with the enclosed 2.5x8 mm screws as shown in the illustration. Please do not tighten the screws completely yet, so that you can still align the struts in the final assembly. Now set the fuselage carefully onto the struts. Screw connect the struts on the fuselage as shown in the illustration.
  • Page 27 Take the left wing and push the two wing pins into the holes in the fuselage. Thread the servo wires and the landing flap linkage into the holes in the fuselage. Now push the wings up to the fuselage and push them with pressure onto the wing clips till you hear a click. Mount the right wing analo- gously.

  • Page 32 PREAMBULE Félicitations pour l‘acquisition de votre DHC-2 BEAVER Staufenbiel. Il est possible d‘acheter sépa- rément un jeu de flotteur pour transformer votre Beaver en hydravion. Le montage de ceux-ci est également expliqué dans cette notice. Les solutions de construction présentées dans cette notice doivent être perçues comme des propo- sitions que l‘on peut suivre.
  • Page 33 MONTAGE DU STABILISATEUR ET DE LA DERIVE Tirez la commande de profondeur un peu vers l‘ arrière, puis insérez la CAP dans le guignol comme illustré. Mettez en place la dérive sur le stabilisateur en prenant soin de faire pénétrer la tige de com- mande de la dérive mobile dans la pièce d’entraînement qui se trouve sous la profondeur.
  • Page 34 MONTAGE DE LA ROULETTE DE QUEUE Placez la roulette de queue sur le fuselage et vissez là avec les deux vis 2,5X8mm. Vérifiez que la gouverne de direction soit bien au neutre. Insérez les CAP dans le guignol de la roulette et dans les dominos du guignol de commande, puis serrez les vis de ces deux derniers.

  • Page 36 Connectez les deux servos en utilisant le cable en Y fourni. Insérez les deux CAP dans le domino de commande. Programmez une voie dédiée aux volets sur votre radiocommande en prenant garde au bon sens de fonctionnement. Puis serrez la vis du domino de raccordement au palonnier de servo.
  • Page 37 MONTAGE DU CONE ET DE L‘HELICE Insérez comme illustré la partie arrière du cône sur le porte-hélice, puis insérez l’hélice sur son axe. Ajoutez la rondelle du porte-hélice, puis l‘écrou de serrage et serrez celui ci. Finir en position- nant le nez du cône et en le vissant en place à l‘ aide de deux vis 2,5X8.

Démontez la roulette de queue et les CAP de commande comme photographié. Positionnez les 2 traverses d‘espacement dans les flotteurs et vissez le tout à l‘aide des vis 2,5X20 fournies à...
  • Page 40 Montez les haubans sur les flotteurs comme illustré à l‘aide des vis 2,5X8 mm. Merci de ne pas encore serrer ces vis à fond pour l‘instant, afin de pouvoir encore ajuster le positionnement des haubans. Posez précautionneusement le fuselage sur les haubans et serrez les vis de haubans côté fuselage. Montez ensuite les haubans d‘aile comme illustré...
  • Page 41 Reliez les fils de commande au guignol du gouvernail de chaque flotteur. Enfilez l‘élastique sur le fil de commande et positionnez le sur son arrêtoir comme illustré. Ensuite, relier l‘autre extrémité du câble de commande aux dominos du palonnier de direction et serrez les vis de ceux-ci.
