TurboPC EX (For Windows)

TurboPC EX is a software utility that can optimize and improve the transfer speed of your hard drive.
This software is for Windows.

Overview

TurboPC EX optimizes transfer speeds for hard drives by caching data in your computer's RAM.
• TurboPC EX works with the internal hard drives and in your computer, as well the Buffalo product that it was
packaged with. Other drives and devices may not benefit from TurboPC EX.
• Installing TurboPC EX will add "TurboPC EX" to the Device Name in Device Manager. With Windows XP and Vista,
"TurboPC EX" will also be added to the list of devices that can be removed. For example, if a product is named
"USB Mass Storage Device", then it will be named "USB Mass Storage Device (TurboPC EX)" after TurboPC EX is
installed.
• TurboPC EX uses a small amount of memory for each device that is installed. If insufficient memory is available,
reduce the number of installed devices.
• If you have other transfer optimization software already installed on your PC, then TurboPC EX will not be
installed.
• If your computer does not reboot properly after TurboPC EX is installed, there may not be enough memory space
left for your operating system. If your computer keeps rebooting, or if you get a BSOD (blue screen of death) after
the reboot, follow the steps below to uninstall TurboPC EX.
(1) Turn off your computer.
(2) Disconnect all Buffalo USB hard drives.
(3) Reboot your computer, then uninstall TurboPC EX.
(4) Reconnect the USB hard drives that you removed in step 2.
