Operation Manual – MPLS Basics
H3C S9500 Series Routing Switches
Except for the command for the LDP GR feature, all commands available in MPLS LDP
view can be configured in MPLS LDP VPN instance view.

1.8.1 Configuration Prerequisites

Before configuring LDP instances, be sure to complete these tasks:
Configuring VPN instances
Configuring MPLS basic capability
Configuring MPLS LDP capability

1.8.2 Configuration Procedure

Usually, the default value of the LDP LSR ID, that of the MPLS LSR ID, answers the
requirement. In some networking schemes where VPN instances are deployed, such
as MPLS L3VPN networking schemes, if VPN address spaces and the public network
address space overlap, you must configure an LDP LSR ID that is different from the
MPLS LSR ID for TCP connections to be established normally.
Follow these steps to configure LDP instances:
Enter system view
Enable LDP capability for
a VPN instance and enter
MPLS LDP VPN instance
view
Configure the LSR ID for
the VPN instance
Caution:
For LDP-enabled interfaces, configurations in MPLS LDP VPN instance view affect
only interfaces bound to VPN instances, while configurations in MPLS LDP view do
not affect any interfaces bound to VPN instances. When configuring the transport
address of an LDP instance, you must use the IP address of the interface bound to
the VPN instance.
By default, LDP adjacencies on the private network are established using
addresses of the LDP-enabled interfaces, while those on the public network are
established using the LDP LSR ID.
