IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, and/or injury, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
I Read all instructions.
I To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse Base, cord, or
plug in water or other liquid. To clean, wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
I Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
I Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts,
and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp plug and pull straight out from
outlet. Never pull cord.
I Avoid contacting moving parts.
I Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination,
repair, or adjustment.
I The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manu-
facturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
I Do not use outdoors.
I Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces
including the stove.
I The Blade is sharp. Handle carefully. Store out of reach of children.
I To reduce the risk of injury, never place Knife Blade on Base without
first putting Bowl properly in place. Make sure Motor and Knife Blade
have stopped completely before removing Cover.
I Do not attempt to defeat the Cover interlock mechanism.
I This appliance is intended for processing small quantities of food for immediate
consumption. This appliance is not intended to prepare large quantities of food
at one time.
I Keep hands and utensils away from cutting blade while chopping food to
reduce the risk
of injury to persons or damage to the food chopper. A scraper may be used but
only when the food chopper is not running.
I This product has a "pulse action" feature. Avoid running the motor con-
tinuously in this mode for periods over 1 minute.
I Do not operate the appliance when empty.
I Be certain Cover is locked securely in place before operating appliance.
I Check Bowl for presence of foreign objects before operating.
I This appliance is intended for household use only, not for commercial or
industrial use.
