4.1.2 Back and Side

Figure 4-2 shows the back and side of the Basic Live Traffic Identifier. Table 4-2
describes its components.

4.2 Powering on the Unit

Gently insert the tested fiber into the groove at the top of the identifier. Pull the
clamping trigger slowly to press the fiber against the optical assembly. The
identifier powers on when the detector plunger closes and the fiber is in the
correct position. See Figures 4-3 and 4-4.
