This section gives procedures for servicing the fuel system.
Draining the Sediment Bowl
Follow these steps to drain the regulator sediment bowl:
Shut off the fuel supply to the TEG and allow it to cool.
Open the drain cock on the bottom of the regulator; any impurities will drain through
the cock.
Close the drain cock.
Leak-check the drain cock.
Fuel Filter Replacement (if necessary)
Follow these steps to remove the fuel filter:
Shut off the fuel supply to the TEG and allow it to cool.
Remove the two wires from the pressure switch.
Drain the sediment bowl by opening the drain cock.
Disconnect the fuel line from the solenoid valve.
Disconnect the vent hose from the cabinet base.
Remove the two bolts which hold the regulator to the cabinet.
Mark the regulator body and sediment bowl, to ensure proper orientation during
reassembly.
Turn the regulator upside down and remove the four screws on the bottom.
Remove the filter and gasket. See Figure 29 on the next page.
