INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing this 500W Hedge Trimmer. This product is manufactured to the highest standards of performance and safety. Before use, please read this manual carefully. It gives important instructions about safety, use and maintenance of your device. Remove all packaging material. -

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING - Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool. - Page 4 - When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. - If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD with a tripping current of 30 mA or less) protected supply.
- Page 5 - Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. - If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

Service - Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained. SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - Make sure that the protection guard is always mounted to the machine when using the hedge trimmer. - Page 7 - When operating the machine take great care and always hold it firmly with both hands. Chose a stable and safe position, especially on steps. - Check regularly that all screws are properly secured. Check the cutting blades regularly and, in case of damage, have them repaired of exchanged by an authorized service centre.

BEFORE FIRST USE Connection - This hedge trimmer may only be connected to single-phase AC source. Ensure that the mains voltage is the same as the operating voltage indicated on the rating plate. - Connect the power plug to the coupling of an appropriate extension cord. - Page 10 - If the blades are jammed or blocked by obstacles, switch the motor off immediately, pull the plug, and then remove the object jamming the blades. CAUTION! Metal obstacles like fences etc. may damage the cutting blades. - Always make sure to keep the extension cord behind your back and to start cutting the hedge at the point nearest to the supply socked.
