Basic functions

Activating and deactivating

• Pushing and holding the POWER button (1) (for ap-
prox. one second) or by briefly pushing the button
(40) will activate the DecoderStation 6.
When it turns on, the buttons (1) and (2) and the
display panel (3) will light up.
• You can switch the DecoderStation 6 to standby
by pushing and holding the POWER button (1) (for
approx. one second) or by briefly pushing the button
(40)).
In standby, a red dot will light up under the POWER
button (1).
• If the TV connected via HDMI is CEC-capable, the
DecoderStation 6 will be switched on and to stand-
by together with the TV set (see "CEC" on page
19).
• If a CEC-capable HDMI device is connected
to one of the HDMI IN connections (16), the
DecoderStation 6 and the TV set will also be acti-
vated when the HDMI device is turned on.
• If the DecoderStation 6 does not receive any signal
for longer than 30 or 60 minutes, it will automatically
switch to standby (see "Auto-off" on page 19).
The DecoderStation 6 is not disconnected from mains
in standby mode. Pull the mains plug out of the mains
socket to completely deactivate it.

Selecting a source

After turning the device on, the last used source
device is selected.
• With the SOURCE button (2), you can switch the
source in the following order:
HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, HDMI 4, TV, OPT1 (opti-
cal input 1), OPT2, COAX1 (coaxial input 1), COAX2,
AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, BT (Bluetooth), FM.
• Or you can select the source directly with the func-
tion buttons (19) on the remote control.
The selected source is shown on the display panel (3).

Setting the volume

You can set the desired volume level with the dial
(4) or the buttons VOL +/– (23). The volume will
be shown as a value between -69.0dB (quiet) and
10.0dB (very loud) and a bar on the display panel (3).

Mute

By briefly pushing the dial (4) or the button
you can turn the sound on and off again.
During muting, the "MUTE" message will appear on
the display panel (3) and on the connected TV set.
