Falling asleep to music

— Sleep Timer

You can set the system to turn off after a certain
time, so that you can fall asleep to music. You can
preset the time to turn off in 10 minutes
increments.
SLEEP
, Press SLEEP repeatedly to select a
desired time.
Each time you press the button, the minute
display (the turn-off time) changes as
follows:
t SLEEP OFF t SLEEP AUTO*
10min T ... T 80min T 90min T
* The system automatically turns off in 100
minutes, or after the current CD or tape
finishes playing.
To check the turn-off time
Press SLEEP once. Nothing appears in the display
for the "SLEEP AUTO" setting.
To change the time to turn off
Select the time you want by pressing SLEEP.
To cancel the timer
Press SLEEP repeatedly until "SLEEP OFF"
appears.

Tips
• You can use Sleep Timer, even if you have not set
the clock.
• The optional MD deck MDS-SP55 also
automatically turns off after the MD finishes
playing if you select "SLEEP AUTO".
Notes
• When Sleep Timer is used, you cannot use other
timer functions.
• Do not set to "SLEEP AUTO" during Synchro
Recording on a tape or an MD with the optional
MD deck MDS-SP55.
