Symptom
Possible Cause Remedy
"CHANGE SEPARATOR" light 1. Separator differential is

2. Electrical noise creating
false readings.
3. Oil reservoir is overfilling.
4. Unit is rapidly cycling.
5. Defective transducer.
6. Plugged aftercooler,
due
to freezing or varnishing.
1. Running compressor at a
pressure over nameplate
pressure.
2.
Incoming voltage low or
high.
3.
Imbalance voltage
(check phase to phase).
1. Change Separator.
2. Verify readings with mechan-
ical gauges. If defective,
replace with 88H1 98.
3. Set minimum pressure valve at
65 psig (4.5 Bars).
4. Disassemble and clean.
5. Rebuild or replace.
1. Change Separator.
2. Make
sure transducer wires
are kept to a minimum length
and are twisted.
3. Fill to proper level (center of
the green range).
4. Adjust subtractive pilot.

(Add subtractive pilot if
unit does not have one.)
5. Verify readings with mechan-
ical gauges. If defective,
replace with 88H1 98.
6.
Clean or replace aftercooler.
1. Lower pressure to nameplate.
2. Consult your power company.
3.
If imbalance exceeds 5%,
check incoming power.
