Common installation practice Installing T-nuts When installing T-nuts into the wood, use a smooth faced hammer to set the face of the T-nut flush into the wood. Corner Post T-nut Insert the barrel of the T-nut into the predrilled hole. Using a smooth faced hammer, drive the T-nut until the face of the T-nut is flush to the wood.
