Before removing the fan, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the bottom cover (see

Disconnect the battery (see
Remove the fan:
1.
Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (1).
2.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0×4.0 screws (2) that secure the fan to the system board.
3.
Remove the fan from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the fan.
