Important Safety Information
READ the Safety Information
Before inspecting, diagnosing, repairing or operating
any water heater, be sure to examine all of the safety
and warning labels on the water heater. Follow the
instruction on these warning labels. Read and
understand the Use and Care Manual that was
shipped with the water heater. Failure to do so can
result in unsafe operation of the water heater resulting
in property damage, bodily injury, or death. Should
you have any problems reading or following the
instructions in the Use and Care Manual, seek the
help of a licensed and qualified professional.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK
Troubleshooting and repairing this water heater can
expose you to electrical shock. Some of the
diagnostic procedures require the presence of AC and
DC volt electricity. Use extreme caution when
performing these procedures. When replacing an
unserviceable component, turn off all power to the
water heater and check for the presence of power
with a multi-meter or test lamp. The ignition cable
carries more than 10,000 volts of electrical energy.
Use extreme caution when diagnosing the Tankless
Gas Water Heater.
