If this is not possible, seek authorised technical assistance. Choose a tractor with a suitable power on the Power Take- Off (PTO).

    4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Power Take-Off (PTO) drive shaft – Shorten Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft length NOTE: Do not shorten your new Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft until you are certain that it is necessary. From the factory the distance from PTO to Power Input Connection (PIC) is standard on most tractor brands.

Fasten the PTO drive shaft half parts to the PTO (on the tractor) and the PIC (on the implement).     6 - WORKING OPERATIONS 6 - WORKING OPERATIONS###_6_### General information Implement overview This implement is a disc mower which is connected at the front of the tractor and places a gathered swath between the wheels of the tractor. Functional principle of the implement The cutter bar (1) cuts the crop and transports the crop to the rear, towards the swath discs (2).

    6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Friction clutch To ensure a long life for your tractor and implement, the implement is equipped with a friction clutch on the Power Take-Off (PTO) drive shaft between the tractor and the implement. The purpose of the friction clutch is to protect the transmis- sion from overload when you work in the field and when you start the implement (connection of the PTO).

    6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Guards When you maintain the implement, you often need to open the guards (2). It is not possible to lift the guard (2) for transport, because for safety reasons the guards have a lock. To open the front guard, you must pull the handle (1) and hold the handle while you lift the front guard (2).

    6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Swath discs The implement is equipped from the factory with four swath discs, two each side. The function of the swath discs is to shape a swath in the middle. The position of the swath discs determines the swath width.

    6 - WORKING OPERATIONS Double drum system – Option As option the implement is equipped with a set of high discs (1) and a guard (2) at each end. This system makes it possible to make very narrow swaths. The guards en- sure that the grass is always led the right way.

The noise is due to the angle of the shaft and is practically of no importance because the torque of the shaft is minimal in this situation.

Remember to relieve the oil pressure before you work with the hydraulic system. Hydraulic hoses must be checked before each use, and minimum once a year.
