- Page 4 PRODUCT ASSEMBLY Remove the armrests, pillows, and hardware from the zippered compartments underneath the futon. Leave the two compartments open. Slide the two part D armrests onto the brackets on the side of the futon. From within the compartments, attach the armrests to the futon with eight part 4 bolts, eight part 2 washers, and eight part 3 nuts, four nut and bolt sets per armrest.
