Prerequisites
Auxiliary spare parts: see spare part list
• Flange wheels, wheel bolts, ball bearings
• Upper and lower clamping lever
Procedure
1. Unclamp the quills and remove the workpiece
from the machine.
2. Turn off the main switch.
3. Remove the fastening screws [6] from all 4 sides of
the carriage and remove the brackets holding the
ball bearings.
4. Remove the fixing screws [10] of the clamping
levers (2 per side) and remove the clamping levers.
5. Attach the carriage to a hoisting device (minimum
carrying capacity 150 kg) and lift it up a few centi-
metres. Ensure that all the cables are undamaged.
6. Remove flange wheel from the axle and replace
with a new flange wheel. IMPORTANT: always
change all 4 flange wheels at the same time.
7. Slide the carriage back onto the guides and
remove the hoist bracing.
8. Adjust the height of the individual flange wheels
on the eccentric shafts in such a way that all 4
wheels rest securely on the base frame, and the
sleeve on the carriage is centered to the left
sleeve.
9. Replace the clamping levers [8] and [9] and secure
them with the fastening screws [7].
10. If necessary, remove the ball bearings from the
axles and replace them.
11. Mount the brackets with the ball bearings [4] on
all 4 sides of the car. Push the holder upwards so
that the ball bearings touch the underside of the
track rail.
12. Check the function. The carriage must be easy to
move with the clamping levers released. With
locked clamping levers, the car must be securely
fixed.
Replacing the coil guides
CAUTION:
Motor-driven magnetisation coil can
crush hands.
Coil guides
1. Coil support
2. Ball bearing bushing
3. Guide shaft
4. Drive chain
Procedure
1. Turn off the main switch.
2. Dismantle the magnetising coil.
3. Release the fastening of the guide shaft.
4. Lift the coil transport unit with a suitable hoisting
device (carrying capacity min. 100 kg).
5. Pull the guide shaft out from the ball bearing
bushings.
6. Dismantle the ball bearing bushings and install
new bushings.
7. Install new guide shaft.
8. Slide the coil transport unit back onto the machine
and remove the hoist bracing.
9. Secure the guide shaft.
10. Install the magnetising coil.
11. Check the coil guide.
