Operation WARNING Switch the unit off and remove the battery if the unit is left unattended; before checking, cleaning or performing other work on the unit; or if the unit starts vibrating excessively. Before initial operation Unpack the pole saw and accessories and check that no parts are missing or damaged.

Operation Adjustments before using WARNING Before performing any work on the garden tool, remove the battery. Assembling and adjusting the shoulder belt • Open retaining hook and hook onto the fastening eye on the housing (see Figure 4). • Adjust the shoulder belt to your height. Adjust the shaft length. Maintenance DANGER Before performing any work on the pole saw, remove the battery. Risk of injury by the sharp cutters! Wear protective gloves. The user should perform only the maintenance work described below. All other work, in particular motor maintenance and repairs, must be performed by a trained specialist.
Maintenance CAUTION The teeth on the saw chain are very sharp! Wear protective gloves when handling the chain. An incorrectly attached saw chain will cause the power tool to cut in an uncontrolled manner! Figure 10 When attaching the chain, observe the running direction! Changing saw rail and saw chain Place the pole saw on any suitable flat surface.
Maintenance • Tighten the chain tensioning wheel anticlockwise to tension the chain (see Figure 14). The saw chain must not sag, but it should be possible to pull it 1/16” - 1/8” off the saw rail in the middle of the saw rail.
