Connecting the TV

your TV to channel 3 or

consider using the
Channel Fix feature to
set your TV to channel 3
or 4 (see page 45).

75-ohm coaxial
cable
From the Channel menu, select Cable On or Cable Off for your type of
input signal.
Two ferrite cores are factory attached to the supplied 75-ohm
coaxial cable. Do not detach the ferrite core from the coaxial
cable.
Use this hookup if:
s You subscribe to a cable TV system that uses scrambled or encoded
signals requiring a cable box to view all channels, and
s You do not intend to hook up any other audio or video equipment to
your TV.

Connect the coaxial connector from your cable service to the cable
box's IN jack.

Using the supplied 75-ohm coaxial cable, connect the cable box's OUT
jack to the TV's VHF/UHF jack.

Also, set Cable to On in the Channel menu (see page 45).
Do This ...
Tune the TV to the channel the cable box is set to and then use the cable box to
switch channels.
Program the remote control. See "Programming the Remote Control" on page 34.
Press SAT/CABLE (FUNCTION).
See "Operating a Cable Box" on page 36.
When using the cable box, you need the TV to stay on the channel the cable box is set
to. You can use the TV's Channel Fix feature to lock in a specific channel. For
details, see "Using the Channel Menu" on page 45.
