Expanded DAB + information

With DAB + additional information is transmitted in addition to the music signal. These can be
retrieved as follows.
Press the <INFO> key to retrieve the following information in succession:
• Signal level: Shown on the display by means of icons from left to right.
The more icons displayed, the better the reception.
• PTY (Program Type): This designates the classification of the stations according to genre,
e.g. Pop, News, Religion, Info, Classics, etc.
• Name of the ensemble, e.g. "DR Germany"
• Display of channel and frequency of the set station
• ERR XX: This information shows the error rate of the digital reception. This is also dependent on
the signal level and can also be used to align the antenna.
• XX K BPS: Display of the data rate of the station e.g. 80 kBit/s. The data rate may vary from station
to station.
• DAB+: Designates the reception mode "DAB +".
• Current time
• Current date

Menu functions DAB +

The <MENU> key opens a menu in which you can set various functions for DAB+. Use the
<TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII> knob to scroll through the menu. The following functions are adjustable:
• Full scan: Another automatic station search. Confirm the function with the
<TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII> knob.
• Manual tune: This allows you to manually set a specific reception channel. By pressing
<TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII> the function is confirmed and the currently set channel with the
corresponding frequency is shown in the display.
• Turn the <TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII knob to manually select another station.
• Confirm the selection. After that, the signal level is shown in the display, another press charges
the current ensemble.
• DRC (Dynamic Range Control): If supported by the selected station, it is possible to adjust the
dynamic range. Possible settings are "Off", "Low" and "High".
Selection and confirmation are analogous to the other menu items.
• Prune: This deletes invalid stations from the station list. Select "No / Yes" with the
<TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII>, control and confirm the selection.
• SYSTEM: Settings for sleep timer, alarm clock, time, lighting, language and factory settings

• Turn the <TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII> knob to set the reception frequency.
• If you hold down the <TUNE/AUTO/ENTER/uII> knob for a few seconds, the automatic station
search starts. All found stations are stored in the preset memory.
