z The 5 button, CH + button,
N (Play) button and
MTS/SAP button have a
tactile dot. Use them as a
reference when operating
the TV.

Button Description
1 MUTING Press to mute the sound. Press again or press VOL + to restore
the sound.
2 DISPLAY
Press once to display the current channel number, channel
label, time and Wide Mode settings. The OSD (on screen
display) will be canceled after a few seconds or press again to
immediately cancel the display.
3 POWER Press repeatedly to cycle through the power saving modes:
SAVING Standard, Reduced, Picture Off. See Power Saving on
page 61.
4 FREEZE Press to freeze the picture. The current program appears in the
sub screen when freeze is selected. Press repeatedly to restore
the picture. You can use this feature to write down information
such as phone numbers, recipes, etc.
5 JUMP Press to jump back and forth between two channels. The TV
alternates between the current channel and the last channel that
was selected.
6 RETURN
Press to go back to the previous screen when displaying
settings.
7 WEGA GATE Press to navigate to TV functions. See "Introducing WEGA
GATE" on page 42.
8 FUNCTION Press to have the remote control operate the equipment you
Buttons want. See "Programming the Remote Control" on page 34.
9 DVD/VCR When FUNCTION is switched on DVD/VCR, these buttons

0 TOP MENU
Press to display the top menu of your DVD/VCR.
qa MENU Press to display the menu of your DVD or Satellite Receiver.
Press again to exit from the menu.
qs VOL +/– Press to adjust the volume.
Some functions will not be available in freeze.
