Remove the MD
Turn power off
A track mark is added at the point where you press P; thus the remainder of the track will be

counted as a new track.

If you start a new recording partway from a previous recording, the previous recording will be
overwritten (erased) by the new one.

Once you open the lid, the point to start recording will change to the beginning of the first track.
Check the point to start recording on the display.
If the recording does not start
•Make sure the MD is not record-protected
(page 40).
•If "SCMS NO COPY" is displayed, you
cannot record digitally (page 40).
•Premastered MDs cannot be recorded over.
For models supplied with the AC plug
adaptor
If the AC power adaptor does not fit the wall
outlet, use the AC plug adaptor.
