Sliding Roof with Rear Pop-Up
Feature
1 to slide roof open
2 to slide roof closed
3 to raise roof at rear
4 to lower roof at rear

Turn key in steering lock to posi­
tion 1 or 2 (with either front door
open, the sliding/pop-up roof can
be operated with key removed or
in steering lock position 0).
The switch is illuminated when the
exterior lamps are switched on
(except standing lamps).
Glass Sliding Roof with Rear
Pop-Up Feature
An additional screen can be slid
into the roof opening to guard
against sun rays. When sliding the
roof open, the screen will also
retract.
Warning!
When closing the sliding roof,
be sure that there is no danger
of anyone being harmed by
the closing procedure.
Notes:
The sliding roof can be opened or
closed manually should an elec­
trical malfunction occur, refer to
Emergency Operation in Index.
The sliding roof can also be
closed with the key or infrared
remote control while locking the
vehicle doors or trunk (see Central
Locking System in Index).
