This product must be installed by a qualified heating and air conditioning contractor.
Failure to do so could result in serious injury from electrical
shock.

ForHumidifierinstaJiation, follow HumidifierInstaJiation instructions.
STEP1:
Unpack the Humidifier Control Carton
Make sure aJJ componentsare present(see Figure A):
A. Humidifier Control
C. ManualMode Label
B. OutdoorTemperatureSensor
D. Manual Mode ResistorCase

INDICATOR
STEP2:
Disassemblethe Humidifier Control
Removedoor from the HumidifierControlby pulling the bottomof the door
straightout.
STEP3: Check theModeSwitch
With the door removed,noticethe switch labeled BYPASS and POWER
(partiallycovered bythe enclosure).Make surethe switch is correctly set
for the humidifiermodel beinginstalled or damageto the Humidifier Control
could result(see STEP12"Wiring").
STEP 4: Check the Change Humidifier Pad indicator Setting
This settingwiil control when the indicator lightturns on, remindingyou
to changeyour HumidifierPad.If your Controlcamewith a humidifier,the
Controlis pre-set at position"C". If the installation s ite has a 3-month
or shorter heatingseasonor very hard water, you may want to adjustthe
setting.(see FigureB).The Controlmust be energizedto resetthe
HumidifierPad Indicator.
STEP5:
Determine Location for Humidifier Control
and Mount it
HumidifierControlmust be mounted inthe Return Duct. Forproper
operation,the HumidifierControlmust be at least 6 inches upstreamof any
of the following:
. Humidifier
. HumidifierBypassDuctwork(if applicable)
. FreshAir intake Ductwork (if applicable)(see FigureC)
After locationfor Controlis selected,use the perforated HumidifierControl
template (attachedto these instructions) to markthe duct openingand cut it.
Use4 sheetmetal screws (not provided)to mountthe HumidifierControlin
the duct opening andmakesure Humidifier Controlissealedtightly to duct.
