Connecting to a Computer for Serial
Communication
The device provides an RS-232 serial interface port on its front panel for serial communication with a
PC.

To connect the device's serial interface to a computer:
a.
Connect the RJ-45 cable connector to the device's serial port, labeled CONSOLE.
b.
Connect the other end of the cable to the COM1 or COM2 RS-232 communication port on your
PC.

Powering up the Device

The device receives power from a standard alternating current (AC) electrical outlet. The connection is
made using the supplied AC power cord.
