Basic Operations

Using the mode dial

Set the mode dial to the desired function.
Still image shooting modes
: Auto Adjustment mode
Allows easy shooting with the settings adjusted automatically.
: Program Auto mode
Allows you to shoot with the exposure adjusted automatically (both the shutter
speed and the aperture value). Also you can select various settings using the
menu.
(For details on the functions available
Allows you to shoot with preset settings according to the scene.
On Function Guide
When [Function Guide] is set to [On], the descriptions of functions are displayed as you
operate the camera.
The default setting is [On]. Select [Off] if you do not want the function guide to appear
(page 52).
