Tire Specifications

The main drive tires are solid filled and require no air pressure.
The two steering tires are air filled and it is important that both tires be inflated to the exact same
pressure. The recommended pressure for these tires is 55 psi.

Electric System

The 747B is equipped with (4) 12 volt batteries. They provide 925 cranking amps.
Disconnect the batteries when servicing or performing any type of
repairs to the tug. Risk of electric shock is present when batteries are
connected.
If the battery casings show signs of damage or if any of the internal
fluids of the batteries are visible, replace battery immediately.
Follow battery manufacturer's maintenance, safety, storing and charging specifications.
Common circuit failures are usually caused by shorting, corroded or dirty terminals, loose
connections, defective wire insulation or broken wires. Switches, solenoids and ignition components
may also fail, causing a shorted or open circuit.
Before attempting any failure diagnosis of the electrical system, use a test light or voltmeter to
check the battery voltage. If the battery voltage is satisfactory, check the cleanliness and tightness of the
terminals and ground connections. A general understanding of electrical servicing and use of basic test
equipment is necessary for troubleshooting and repair.

Fuel System

Observe usual fuel handling precautions; do not smoke while refueling,
do not fill tank with engine running or while engine is hot; allow engine
to cool before storing machine inside a building, keep fuel away from
open flame or spark and store machine away from open flame or spark if
there is fuel in the tank. Read and observe safety precautions at front of
this manual.
Use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or 100LL aviation fuel.
