Network Attached Storage (NAS) is a storage methodology where data is accessed over the network - primarily Ethernet. Ongoing developments in IP technology have caused more users to select NAS devices to store mass data.

Clustered NAS Engine Node The clustered NAS engine of the N8300 supports two to six nodes and automatic failover and failback among nodes.

These models provide different performances, capacities, interfaces, and expansion capabilities.

Overview The N8300 uses the 64-bit operating system. The software architecture is comprised of the Cluster File System (CFS) and Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) at the core layer, and all types of NAS applications at the user layer.

UltraPath controls the access from application server to the storage unit, selects the optimal path, and guarantees the reliability and security during data transfer between the application server and the storage unit.
