IDE Prefetch Mode
The onboard IDE drive interfaces support IDE prefetching, for faster drive
accesses. When you install a primary and/or secondary add-in IDE interface,
set this option to Disabled if the interface does not support prefetching.
I/O Devices Configuration
Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears:
FDC Controller
This is used to enable or disable the onboard Floppy controller. Settings
options: [Disabled], [Enabled].
COM Port 1
These items specify the base I/O port addresses of the onboard Serial Port
1 (COM A). Selecting [Auto] allows BIOS to automatically determine the
correct base I/O port address. Settings: [3F8/IRQ4], [2F8/IRQ3], [3E8/IRQ4],
[2E8/IRQ3] and [Disabled].
Parallel Port
This field specifies the base I/O port address of the onboard parallel port.
Selecting [Auto] allows AMIBIOS to automatically determine the correct
base I/O port address. Settings: [378/IRQ7], [278/IRQ5], [3BC/IRQ7] and
[Disabled].
Parallel Port Mode
This item selects the operation mode for the onboard parallel port: [ECP+EPP],
[Normal] or [Bi-Dir].
EPP Mode Select
The onboard parallel port is EPP Spec. compliant, so after the user chooses
the onboard parallel port with the EPP function, the following message will
be displayed on the screen: "EPP Mode Select." At this time either [EPP 1.7]
spec or [EPP 1.9] spec can be chosen.
ECP DMA
The ECP mode has to use the DMA channel, so choose the onboard parallel
port with the ECP feature. The user can choose between DMA channel [3]
or [1].
