2-WIRE SYSTEM:
CONNECT WIRES TO
W AND RH IN ANY ORDER:
LEAVE RC.RH JUMPER INTACT.
JUMPER 4
LEAVE RC.RH JUMPER INTACT.

REMOVE RC-RH JUMPER.
TERMINALS

. Do not check heating system operation by
control. This will damage the thermostat. The
primary control is usually a gas valve, a relay
or burner control bx located behind the
furnace cover, an Aquastat controller or zone
valve with the thermostat wires connected to it.
. To avoid pessible compressor damage, do
not operate the cooling system if the outside
temperature is below 50° F [1 O" C]. See com-
pressor manufacturer's instructions for further
information.
RESTORE POWER TO THE SYSTEM.
CHECKING HEATfNG OPERATION
1. Hold HEAT button to enter heat temperature 2°
above room temperature.
Loosen the terminal screws, slip each wire
beneath its matching terminal, and tighten
screw until all wires have been connected.
If you have not done so already, press the
battery connector onto a 9V alkaline battery
(purchase separately). Place battery in the battery
holder.

CHECK THERMOSTAT
OPERATION

Let the furnace cycle through one complete
cycle.

If the display goes blank at any time during the
Owner's Manual.
CHECKING COOLING OPERATION
1. Hold COOL button to enter an air conditioning
temperature 2° below room temperature.
2. Allow the air conditioner to go through one
complete cycle.
3. If the display goes blank at any time during the
cycle, see TROUBLESHOOTING section of the
Owner's Manual.
