  • Page 2 WR-1 Product Specification The WR-1 is a networked wall remote designed to control background audio in user-defined music zones. Utilizing Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, it allows users to select background music sources, inhibit pages and mute sources—all from an attractive, low-profile, wall-mounted panel.
  • Page 3 WR-1 Setup and Installation Setup and Use The WR-1 is a networked wall remote for use in a Vocia® system. It is designed to control background audio in a single user-configured music zone. The WR-1 utilizes Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology and after being connected to a PoE capable switch can participate as a physical interface in a Vocia system.
  • Page 4 The WR-1 features a backlit display that provides the user with an easy-to-read interface to view the menu options and setup screen. Select Buttons The two buttons below the Select label are used to choose different functions on the WR-1. The available functions can be customized in the Vocia Software. Adjust Buttons The two buttons below the Adjust label are used to adjust the options of the selected function.
  • Page 5 Changes made to the Device ID while connected to the network require a power cycle of the device in order to take effect. Network Connection The WR-1 has one RJ45 connector that carries control data and power over CobraNet and should be connected using a shielded CAT5, 5e, 6, or 7 cable.
  • Page 6 WR-1 Operation Menu Structure The WR-1 has up to four functions that can be configured in the Vocia Software. To pressing the up or down select buttons will cycle through the programmed menus. Volume, Source Mute and Source Selection are always available.
  • Page 7 Page Inhibit and the Adjust down button will disable page Inhibit. Device Unavailable Screen The device will display Not Available if the WR-1 cannot connect to the Vocia system or is not participating in a Vocia configuration.
