Solar mode

The purpose of your SunMover® is to recharge your onboard battery using solar
power. To do this, the solar panel follows the sun all day long. This is indicated as
Solar mode
in the display.
Of course, it is best to avoid unnecessary movement of the solar panel in order to

preserve the energy which has been generated. Various adjustment options are
available to allow you to confi gure your SunMover® in the best possible way for the
conditions under which it is to be operated. Please refer to section „Solar settings".
One aspect which is of particular interest is the option which is explained there of
adapting the sunrise (SR) and sunset (SS) to local conditions. This is particularly
useful if the sun is obscured in the morning or evening due to the topography of
the area (e.g. mountains). Here, the SR and SS times can be freely defi ned within a
certain range, so that the SunMover® can e.g. be switched off earlier in the evening
if the sun disappears early behind a mountain before setting.
The automatic function for switching on the SunMover® in the morning can be just
as benefi cial. This means that your batteries are being charged while you are still
asleep! Here again you can pre-select the sun position which triggers the system
to be switched on. In addition, you are also free to choose whether the SunMover®
should be retracted and secured in the evenings (for example if you are expecting
strong winds, storms etc.), or whether the solar panel should stay open overnight to
save the power required to close and then open the panel again.
The default settings set in the system on delivery are the settings which offer the
greatest safety and compatibility in operation. As the requirements may vary depen-
ding on location, these default settings may not necessarily offer the greatest effi ci-
ency and yield. However, with these settings your SunMover® will work fi ne without
any changes needed to the confi guration.
