Manual orientation correction

Your SunMover® automatically determines the position of the sun, regardless of
your current location. However, due to the effects of external infl uences it is quite
conceivable that the system might not manage to direct the solar panels exactly
towards the sun. If the discrepancy is only in the order of a few degrees then this
will not have an adverse effect on the solar energy yield.
E
However, if the error is greater, you can always use the control panel to perform a
Optimisation
manual orientation correction. Call up
in the General Menu.
The set orientation correction is now displayed. You can then use
or
to turn
the system left or right until you get a maximum charge current (usually shown in
the onboard power monitor), or simply until the solar panel is pointing directly at
the sun. Press
again to save the new correction value, your system will now fol-
low the sun until you next move the vehicle (i.e. until you next turn on the ignition).
Pressing
cancels the manual orientation correction. The system then goes back
to using the automatically calculated direction to the sun. If you have implemented
any other manual corrections beforehand then these will also be discarded.
