Listening to an MP3 file

Press (OPEN) and insert the disc.
Labeled side up
Z

Close the front panel.
Playback starts automatically.
If a disc is already inserted, press (SOURCE)
repeatedly until "MP3" appears to start
playback.

playback restarts from the first file of the disc.

Notes
• If a disc with no MP3 files is inserted, "CD"
appears in the Disk type display to start playback
but there will be no sound.
• Before playing a file, this unit reads all file and
folder information on the disc. Depending on
the file structure, it may take more than a
minute before play begins. During this time,
"READING" is displayed. Please wait for play to
start automatically when the reading is
complete.

• Folder names and file names can be displayed
with up to 8 characters.
• The characters A - Z, 0 - 9, some symbols ("_ ,"
"–," "/," "<," ">," "*," " \ ," and "+") and space
can be displayed on this unit. All other characters
are displayed as "*."
• Except while formatting ISO 9660 level 1, folder
names or file names may not be displayed
correctly.
• The file name does not correspond to the ID tag.
