Problem
Unit does not drive.
PTO does not work.
Unit moves with
engine off and
parking brake
engaged.
Unit does not drive
straight when
steering-lock lever
is engaged.
Unit creeps when
drive control grip is
in neutral position.
Unit has poor
cutting quality.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Probable Cause
Parking brake is engaged.
Transaxles are bypassed.
Transaxle drive belt is faulty.
Transaxles are faulty.
Transaxle drive system is faulty. Contact your Gravely dealer.
Hydraulic oil level is low.
PTO belt is faulty.
PTO switch, wiring, connectors
or clutch are faulty.
Parking brake needs adjustment. Adjust parking brake lever. See
Parking brake is faulty.
Tire pressures are outside
recommended ranges.
Steering lock needs adjustment. See Adjust Steering Lock on
Transaxle linkages need
adjustment.
Mower blades not level or mower
deck pitch is incorrect.
Mower blades are dull or faulty.
Mowing speed is too fast.
Belt tension or condition is poor. Replace PTO belt. See Replace
Cutting height is too low.
Correction
Release parking brake.
Return transaxle bypass levers to
operating position. See Move Unit

Replace transaxle drive belt. See

Contact your Gravely dealer.
Add hydraulic oil. See Check
