To input the longitude figure, the procedure is very similar. Press the number 4 key to tell the system we're west
of Greenwich and enter our longitude 4366 and then press INSERT.
With our current position entered into the system, alignment of the gyros can begin. Rotate the MSU mode
selector to ALIGN.
With the system now aligning, we need to enter our waypoints. First we need to set the CDU mode selectors
to WAY PT and rotate the Waypoint/DME selector wheel to 0, allowing us to enter the first of the waypoints.
Each waypoint in our flight plan has a corresponding latitude/longitude and that's what we'll be inputting into the
system.
The first waypoint is IKK1, located approximately 1NM from the end of runway 12. To enter this waypoint, the
procedure is the same as that used for entering our position. Move the Waypoint/DME selector to 1, then enter
the latitude and then the longitude, pressing INSERT after each.
Once we've entered the first waypoint, we can confirm its entry by rotating the waypoint/DME selector up one
position and then back again. The coordinates we just entered should be shown. To enter the next waypoint,
rotate the wheel to the next number (2) and repeat the same procedure up to waypoint 9, the final fix we can enter
at this point.
