Monitoring time of a recipe operation

Operating principle
You have the option to enter a monitoring time for a recipe operation (ROP) in the Recipe
Editor. You can monitor this time in the BATCH Control Center or in BATCH Control (OCX)
"SIMATIC BATCH OS Properties" within an PCS 7 OS process picture.
If the time required for processing the recipe operation is greater than the set monitoring time,
the status "Time has elapsed" is set in the BatchCC. In addition, the block output
"Q_ErrContMonTime" is set in AS-based operation if at least one active recipe operation
exceeds the set monitoring time.

SIMATIC BATCH blocks V8.1
Function Manual, 09/2014, A5E32335968-AA
Each UNIT_PLC block manages exactly one unit in the AS. This block is the central block
for batch control. Every ROP, RF or transition in the assigned unit is checked by this block
and the specifications for further processing steps are defined. The more ROPs, RFs or
transitions included in a recipe unit procedure (RUP), the longer the time needed to process
the recipe. To allow the plant configuration staff to optimally divide the time between
processing time (actuators, sensors, process logic, etc.) and time for processing recipes,
there are two parameters on the UNIT_PLC:
Maximum time per processing cycle that may be used to process batch control.
Average time per processing cycle that is currently used to process batch control. Two
measured values (average calculated time from the last cycle + measurement from the
present cycle) are taken into account for each calculation.
