MP3 ID3 tags
MP3 tracks can contain additional infor-
mation such as the artist, album and track
name (ID3 tags). This device can display
ID3 tags of version 1 and 2.

Switching to MP3 mode

Activating the MP3 mode of CD
For an MP3 CD, the MP3 mode is activated
in the same way as the normal CD mode.
For further information, please read the
section entitled "Starting the CD mode" in
the "CD mode" chapter.
Connect USB data carrier and start MP3
mode
To be able to connect a USB data carrier
(e.g. a USB stick or USB hard disk), the
supplied USB cable must be connected to
the rear side of the device as described in
the installation instructions. This cable can
be routed, for example, to the glove com-
partment or a suitable place of the center
console.
Note
Always switch off the device before
connecting or disconnecting the USB
data carrier so that the data carrier is
correctly registered and unregistered.

Connect the USB data carrier with the
USB cable.
As soon as a USB data carrier is connected,
it can be selected with the SRC button 2.
The display shows "USB".
Confi guring the display
Displaying the time

Press the DIS button : repeatedly
until the time appears.
Displaying artist and album name
You can display the artist and album name
of the current track.
To show or hide the artist and album name,

press the MENU•OK button 5.
The display shows "MENU".

nent of the MP3 ID3 tag of version 1
and version 2 and can only be displayed
if they were stored with the MP3 fi les.
